So the wedding yesterday was that of my most awesome friend Fiona to her equally awesome now-husband Tom. As a bridesmaid, I had ONE major job on the day:manage the dress. During the ceremony, this mostly meant manipulating the trains (I’m really good at this — I had the same job at the wedding of my most awesome friend Katze). After, it meant holding the train off the ground whilst Fiona said ‘hallo’ to people. By the time dancing was halfway through, this turned into a jerry-rigging job, as the bustle was not bustly enough to stand against Proper Ceilidh Dancing (safety pins and square knots were thoroughly employed). However, this job started in the most appropriate way:
With a crochet hook, to do up her beautiful dress’s many buttons. Obviously, this was a job for a crafter.
